I finally made a vector line art work of Mello.
I wanted to make one for ages already! I never really found the time. But hey! Here he is! Eating chocolate ^^ I had some trouble with his hair and the border colour of it. It's the first time that I line someone.... well blond. Sounds silly but it was hard to line his hair. I don't mind the strains. It's more the: What colour should I give the outline of this strain of hair. So yeah. I also tried something new and played a bit with the frame. I extended some of his strains and colours, so that they'd go into the frame. I should look as if they're coming out of the frame. i don't know if you can see it so well though.. I got a GTA feeling about this picture. Which was rather weird. I guess that's why I tried that with the border. To add to this.. I guess I watched the clip for the new Ninja Gaiden too much. Dang it's so smexy how his blade comes out of frame. I noticed that things look a lot closer when they come out. I did this with Mello, in order to have such a feeling as well. The picture feels all the sudden more personel. Anyway, enough blah. I hope you know what I mean. Don't mind my game-talky talky. I get easily crazy about little things like that >> Also: I ate LOADS of sugar and drank loads of coffeeee!! *Cannot be found in a proper state of mind* ^\ >v< /^ Why should I have proper food when I've gots the caaaandy yeees? I am most emphatically not interested in listening to your complaints.
But anyways, I think the shading of the skin is really nicely done. Though I think the dark strand on the left side of the frame (its got another stripe in it) is kind of out of place with the whole of the picture (lol I know I'm so random. XD ). I suppose it's because it is a different colour from the rest of the hair and thus lacks unification.
Okay I'll stop being weird. XD I'm kind of just typing right from my mind.
Oh yeah and this is totally hawt btw even though I don't need to write that. 8P

Ow do you mean the one by the side of his face? For some reason that was in the screen shot.. I was wondering about too.. (wow i pay loads of attention when I do my vectors >> see weird stripe? just go: Oh well! It's in the original so I better put that in there too >x< lol) I wanted to take it out, but then is aw that there is one under his chin? I thought they balance each other out in a way. I know this is a dumb answer. Lines balancing each other out. It makes sense to me though >_>
Oh right! Yeah I thought of it as a shadow on the face sorta thingy.. bigger line 'artistic' thing.. but if you think of it as hair..then it's really the wrong colour >> Thx for telling me!
